BTW, the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette covered the game, with a rather harsh article:
AAHL product has shortcomings

While I admit that the quality of the game wasn't particularly good, I hardly think it's fair to compare the level of play to that of evening pick-up games at the local rec rink. And banging on the lack of intermission activities is an empty argument, since the Komets organization was supposedly going to handle all of that themselves.

In happier news, today's Courier has a story up about hockey. No, it's not about the game in Fort Wayne. Nor is it about the Wedding On Ice or tonight's game. It's actually about the Winter Olympics, reflecting on the 30-year anniversary of the Miracle On Ice. It does feature quotes from Isaac Coy and Chip. It also claims that we played AGAINST (not at) Fort Wayne last night, and states that our roster features a Russian. (I'm sure Ilja would like to know when Estonia - which has been independent since 1991 - became a part of Russia again.) But alas, we shouldn't let factuality get in our way. Any ink is good ink, right?

Second 'Miracle,' USA?
