Difficult night. There was some life in the 2nd period and some scoring, but it just never got on track. Tomorrow is another day though and I have faith that they'll rally.

Beautiful arena. Felt really strange to see our guys in that big place, prelude of what's to come. :) People here in Ft. Wayne are really insanely friendly. Everyone talked to us. And they're hard core too, they know all about the IHL, all about us, all about the pending move and all about the new arena. They're waiting with baited breath for us to move up. More than one person asked me about the arena and I swear one guy seemed to be asking if I personally was out building it. :) Really good group of people up here.

The only complaint that I had about the arena was apparently there is a no noisemaker policy. During warm ups the usher came by and told us we had to put them away. He actually said that it was an IHL rule that we couldn't have them!! When I said "well this isn't an IHL game" he said "oh that doesn't matter." I did however confirm with various Komet fans that it was not indeed a league rule but an arena rule and that all the other teams used noisemakers at their own arena.

All in all though a good time. Looking forward to getting back tomorrow and being in our own barn. LET'S GO ICEMEN!!

How was the turnout?
