I will say the move to the ECHL financially was a smart move, it is far more stable than the CHL, and especially playing teams that are geographically closer cut traveling costs. I can not say for sure about how far affiliation goes on players, but from what i know, the teams do send players down here to develop, and would like them to play significant time. So i would probably say coach has his hand somewhat tied, but some of the players he has signed haven't played all that great either...I mean his captain is a -11 so far (ouch)..Idk if that really helps, but I like it more than the CHL, i find it more entertaining hockey, maybe not to a newcomer but it is only 7 games in the season, and the Icemen have done horrible in first seasons in a new league anyway. I just hope people have patience with it, and keep coming.

I guess you can say Icemen have played some good teams too...Kalamazoo is strong so far division leaders right now, they won the division last year, made it to the conference finals as well. Gwinnett struggled early but came back better as of late sweept us, and played very well against Fort Wayne. Trenton is tied atop of their divison, we almost beat them...That's probably a petty excuse saying the Icemen are playing good teams, but it is true.

I certainly hope we can get back to winning, it is frustrating to watch, but for a hockey fan like me, it is all i have, and I'm happy with that
