And we're home. Actually we've been home for about 45 minutes. Easy trip both ways. I know I'm going to pay for it tomorrow but I am so glad we went. Tough game by two tired teams. Whoever decided that Bloomington-Evansville-Bloomington was a reasonable weekend stand was on crack. But everyone gritted it out and we came away with the W, despite the horrendous officiating. Thackaberrry must be Malin's long lost cousin. At least he's horrible both ways unlike Malin. Lots of blatant penalties not called. It was getting dangerous at the end, Little took a hit from behind and went head first into the boards. It was pretty scary. He was on the ice for a bit but got up and made his way to the bench. Looked like he was pretty shook up and in a lot of pain. I hope he's ok.

We had a great time at the game. Bloomington fans are really great. Everyone was nice to us and even the people heckling us were being good natured about it. We cheered loud, rang cowbells and even did a "Schneiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiddddddddddddddddddderrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!" Tried to start a "Komets Suck" chant when the playoff schedule was announced but couldn't get anyone to join in. :D And I won stuff! It was fan appreciation night and they were calling seat numbers for prizes and my seat won! I got a magnet and a gift certificate for a car wash. This makes the second team that's given us a free car wash. I also scooped up one of the coupons the blimp was dropping, it turned out to be a coupon for a few game of bowling. Gave both certificates to the booster club, kept the magnet. :)

Overall a great way to wrap up the season (if we can't go to the playoffs that is). Nice effort and nice win from the team. Can't wait until November!!
