AAHL website-lack of info is frusterating

Just sent them an e-mail expressing how disappointing it is to find game results and standings on the league site. I cannot believe that they only have the standings after the opening night. Certainly they cannot expect us to listen to every webcast of every game and keep the stats ourselves?!?!

If you've never seen Stomp, do yourself a favor and go check it out when the show comes to town. They'll be playing The Centre on November 17-18, and tickets start at just $19. I've seen it twice - the last time it was here and again in Indy this past spring - and loved every minute of both performances.

Poll: The Dance Team

Last week, a fan asked me "does a hockey team really need a dance team?"

Dance teams are quite common in football and basketball, but not so much in hockey. More teams are starting to add dance teams though, both in the minors and in the NHL. Fan reaction, however, isn't exactly rah-rah just yet. Whether it's in Nashville for a Predators game or at Swonder for an IceMen game, hockey dance teams are generally met with polite applause and little else.

Our friends up in Fort Wayne haven't liked Muskegon for decades. It really boiled over on Halloween night, with a line brawl, a ref getting shoved out of the way, and 27 games worth of suspensions resulting.

Plus, guys whose last names are Lawmaster and Big Snake. Awesome.

Does anyone know what happened to Brandon Davis and if he was signed anywhere else???? Also weren't we supposed to get a guy named Jon Hutcheon? I may be wrong but I thought someone had said he would have been a great add.....I am out of the loop on all this though and someone had suggested I bring it up here....wow I just read the CJ thing. Hmmmm.....

I was checking out the roster and noticed he was missing from it. I also have heard from a very reliable source that he is gone so I know it is true. This should make everyone happy. No more of him skating around on the ice like he could care less if he was there or not.

After two great games last weekend, the longest homestand of the season concludes this weekend with a pair of games against Battle Creek - the only time the Revolution will visit Evansville this season. Friday's contest starts at 7 PM, and the puck will drop for Saturday's rematch at about 7:45. The teams head into the weekend with identical 2-1-1 records, tied for 2nd place in the league standings. I attended my first hockey game Friday night with my fiance, who was dressed as Steve Hanson. First game for me, first game of the season and making it a win too! What can I say? I'M HOOKED! I cleaned out the concessions and bought 2 cowbells.

not really sure how u guys post the links here. i can't paste a link for some reason......But if anyone is interested over and FinishYourCheck.com we have an AAHL forum....And the reasoning for that is because it is mainly a forum of IHL fans. But FYC provides an AAHL forum because the leagues affilation.

No pressure to join just an option if u want to discuss the AAHL in general.

The IceMen kicked off the season with a split in Madison last weekend, and now the REAL fun begins...

Friday's home opener against the Ice Muskies starts at 7. Fans are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to the game, and the Nick Nackery will be giving a freaky freebie to the first 300 fans through the doors. The pre-game warmups should begin around 6:30, and I think we need to encourage everyone to be there in time to go crazy-wacky-nuts the first time the IceMen...

The All American Hockey League on Tuesday announced that Chi-Town Shooters forward Krystjan Jefkins has been suspended for 20 games for his actions in AAHL game number 4 on Saturday vs. the Battle Creek Revolution in Dyer, Indiana. The suspension is being issued as a category I offense under Rule 41.1 - Physical Abuse of Officials. The suspension is mandated by rule and is not subject to appeal. Jenkins will be eligible...

Okay I'm from Fort Wayne and i am a hockey fan in general and i enjoy checking out the box scores from different leagues. And now that the Komets and IceMen are affiliated id like to keep tabs on the players a little bit more. But other then the releases i find on the AAHL site and oursportscentral. There is nothing to go off of.....I find this to be a little disappointing. Hope this is fixed soon. Id rather not wait a couple weeks for stats from the first week of...

At the home games this weekend (30th and 1st) the Icy Hots will be selling Cold Stone Creamery peeler cards for $10.00. Half of the total sales are going to the players fund! There are over $30 worth of coupons on the card. This is an awesome way to raise money for our team, and Shocker can back me up when I say the ice cream is awesome as well! What do ya say Maniacs?

The IceMen will head north (WAY north) to Madison for a pair of games against the Ice Muskies.
Friday night's contest starts at 7:35 CT, while Saturday's rematch gets underway at 6:30 CT.
